About the Role
The Floor Technician (1st Shift) reports to the Custodial Manager or Supervisor at C&W Services and performs a variety of custodial duties in accordance with company standards, instructions, and procedures. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and appearance of interior building surfaces and supporting overall facility hygiene. The technician sweeps, mops, and washes floors using both light and heavy commercial buffers and shampoo machines, and vacuums rugs in offices and public areas. Spot cleaning and shampooing of rugs are performed as directed, while furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces are dusted and periodically high‑dusted. Interior glass, windowsills, and entrance door glass are cleaned, and interior walls are spot‑cleaned daily as needed. Bathrooms are cleaned and restocked each day, with fixtures monitored for defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights. Building trash is collected, liners replaced, and snow is swept or shoveled from steps and walkways when required. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors with commercial buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim, light fixtures, and perform periodic high‑dusting. • Clean interior glass, windowsills, entrance doors, and spot‑clean walls daily. • Clean and restock bathrooms, monitor fixtures, and report defects. • Collect building trash, replace liners, and dispose of waste in approved containers. • Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways as required. • Perform periodic tasks such as polishing leather/wood surfaces and wall washing. • Follow direction, work with minimal supervision, and collaborate as a team member. • Operate cleaning equipment, including backpack‑style portable vacuum, with attention to detail. • Maintain high energy and endurance while delivering excellent service. • Work for an equal‑opportunity employer offering ADA accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
