About the Role

The Tool Cage Attendant ensures employees have the appropriate tools and personal protective equipment (PPE), supports production managers with floor activities, monitors Fastenal lockers for proper distribution, creates purchase orders for PPE and tools, collaborates on daily and weekly budgets, and maintains a clean and functional work environment through facility upkeep and equipment inspection. • Make sure all employees have the proper tools for their jobs • Hand out proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) • Assist Production Managers with production floor activities • Monitor Fastenal Lockers to ensure products are being properly distributed • Create and place Purchase Orders (P.O.’s) to buy PPE and tools • Work with Assistant Production Managers on daily and weekly budgets • Inspect PPE, tools and other items for damage or defects • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure
