About the Role
Daily tasks are identified by the work board and guidance from supervisors, and overtime may be scheduled. Equipment must be inspected, documented, and any defects reported immediately before safe operation of PI equipment, including order pickers, short and long pallet jacks, and both stand‑up and sit‑down counterbalance forklifts. Responsibilities include picking inventory, scanning items, labeling containers, transporting products to packing lanes, and loading final shipping units. The employee also picks coils and fittings, labels straight lengths, assists with packaging per customer requirements, and manually loads coils and bundles onto trucks following work orders. The role involves monitoring logistics quality by maintaining facility and equipment checklists, performing 6S activities, ensuring pallet stability and label accuracy, and resolving inventory discrepancies. Employees are expected to proactively prevent errors, communicate potential problems, and support ISO 9001 quality initiatives. Additional duties include answering questions for DC Team Member I, performing other assigned tasks, and traveling up to 10% of the time as required. • Follow daily work board instructions and supervisor direction. • Operate and inspect forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks safely. • Pick, scan, label, and transport inventory to shipping containers per order. • Load coils, bundles, and pallets onto trucks according to work orders. • Perform 6S activities and maintain a clean, organized work environment. • Report safety hazards, use proper lifting techniques, and adhere to SOPs. • Monitor logistics quality: equipment care, pallet quality, inventory accuracy, and error prevention. • Communicate issues, assist DC Team Member I, and travel up to 10% of the time. • Execute WMS transactions and troubleshoot system issues.

What You Bring
The role requires the ability to perform necessary transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using a desktop or RF gun, as well as troubleshooting related system issues. The employee must be licensed and proficient with material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and ride‑on pallet jacks. All employees must follow general safety guidelines, report unsafe acts via the SOSPES program, and adhere to slip, trip, and fall precautions such as keeping aisles clear and using approved step stools. Good housekeeping, safe lifting techniques, and using only well‑maintained equipment are essential to maintain a safe work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a safety mindset, basic math skills, strong organization, knowledge of proper lifting techniques and warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate material handling equipment. They must be able to lift 50+ pounds, communicate effectively, pay close attention to detail, maintain high quality standards, meet performance metrics, solve problems, and meet physical job requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 6–17 months of related experience. Compensation includes a base hourly rate of $22.00, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
