About the Role
You will have the chance to lead smaller projects, work alongside senior managers on major programmes, and potentially line‑manage and mentor junior colleagues while shaping the future strategy of the Environmental Project Management Team. • Support development of project proposals, defining scope, resources, programme and cost estimates. • Create and maintain project management documentation such as plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, schedules and stakeholder registers. • Monitor and control project schedules, staff hours, budgets, forecasts and expenditures. • Ensure health and safety information for site visits is secured and internal approvals obtained. • Manage contracts and conduct contract administration. • Actively manage project change and risks, enforcing governance and delivering compliant, optimised outcomes. • Lead, mentor and develop multi‑disciplinary environmental project teams and suppliers. • Promote delivery of environmental betterment, future‑ready and net‑zero strategies. • Represent the Environment and Consents discipline to internal teams, clients and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.

What You Bring
• Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environment or sustainability. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey key messages and keep stakeholders aligned. • Working knowledge of programme management, WBS, dependencies, critical path and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera P6 or similar. • Solid commercial and contractual awareness, financial acumen and experience delivering projects within budget and managing change control. • Familiarity with Professional Services Contracts (e.g., NEC3/4) advantageous. • Membership of a relevant professional institution (PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS) and chartered status or progress towards chartership.
