About the Role

• Lead wastewater project execution, staff development, and client service to deliver high‑quality solutions. • Drive project quality, delivery, and contribute to strategic growth and market expansion. • Identify and qualify leads to achieve annual sales targets. • Meet area sales goals. • Manage business development and marketing budgets. • Oversee client relationship and financial systems for reporting dashboards. • Stay informed on market trends and client drivers. • Create annual and long‑term strategic plans, growth initiatives, and investment priorities. • Implement growth initiatives and investments per strategic plans. • Serve as Client Manager for assigned accounts, building strong relationships and understanding client needs. • Develop and execute client plans to capture market share. • Build business relationships with teaming partners. • Apply HDR’s go/no‑go decision process using the Matrix of Authority. • Lead pursuit teams to craft effective win strategies. • Engage appropriate project management and technical talent in pursuits. • Produce persuasive proposal and interview materials with pursuit teams. • Review proposal and interview materials for quality. • Coach interview teams on delivering key messages. • Facilitate debriefs to identify improvements and assess competitiveness. • Celebrate pursuit successes and milestones. • Direct content marketing campaigns to strengthen brand and visibility. • Supervise business development and marketing staff. • Recruit candidates for management, technical, BD, and marketing roles. • Train and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practices. • Gather and act on client feedback. • Apply HDR’s risk management in new business opportunities. • Participate in professional associations to elevate HDR’s brand.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related professional, architecture, or engineering field. • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. • Maintain a professional or engineering registration (Idaho preferred). • Demonstrated commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values. • Experience leading and managing diverse teams. • Ability to collaborate with area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers. • Strong commitment to active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
