About the Role
• Provide primary support on noise analysis for transportation, construction, energy, and development projects across the U.S. • Perform predictive noise analyses using spreadsheet tools and software such as FHWA Traffic Noise Model and CadnaA. • Deploy, supervise, and document field sound level measurements, including data download and processing for reports. • Conduct measurements in varying outdoor climates and travel nationwide as required. • Research and interpret local, state, and national noise regulations. • Prepare client deliverables such as letter reports, technical documents, and graphics. • Work a standard 40‑hour week with occasional night and weekend assignments.

What You Bring
AECOM is seeking an entry‑level Acoustician to be based in one of our California offices – Oakland, Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego. The position can start as soon as possible. This role requires hybrid work, combining office time in the selected California location with field travel across the United States. Relocation assistance is not available. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Acoustical Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field. • Possess U.S. citizenship and a valid driver’s license; pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. • Preferred: experience in acoustics/noise control, familiarity with CAD, Excel, GIS, Revit or BIM360, and noise‑measurement equipment. • Demonstrated teamwork on large projects and strong verbal communication, including public speaking.
