About the Role
In this role you will lead the application of digital technologies on major North American projects, engage senior leadership and clients to define business requirements for workstreams such as BIM, GIS, business intelligence and automation, and support business development by contributing to proposals and planning. You will also coach and mentor digital leads, help resource managers build capability, and participate in the leadership of the Digital Services team by identifying digital delivery opportunities across units and collaborating with other Mott MacDonald practices and the North American Digital Delivery Network. • Lead application of digital technologies on major North American projects. • Engage senior project leaders and clients to define digital workstream requirements (BIM, GIS, BI, automation, etc.). • Contribute to proposals and plan digital delivery workstreams with Business Development. • Support resource managers by building capacity and mentoring digital leads. • Participate in Digital Services leadership, identifying opportunities across units. • Collaborate with other practices and the North American Digital Delivery Network on strategic initiatives and peer reviews. • Travel up to 50% to client sites and Mott MacDonald locations.

What You Bring
The Digital Services Team is seeking an innovative leader with extensive digital technology and engineering project delivery experience to provide industry‑leading digital delivery support for high‑profile infrastructure projects. The position is based in the downtown New York office, offers a hybrid work environment with flexible hours, and requires approximately 50% travel to client sites or other Mott MacDonald locations. Candidates should have at least ten years of engineering or architecture experience, a relevant degree or diploma, strong digital‑technology expertise, proven project delivery and leadership skills, excellent communication, and experience with digital disciplines, common data environments and international standards such as ISO 19650. • Minimum 10 years of engineering or architecture experience. • Relevant degree or technical diploma. • Deep understanding of digital technology applications in engineering delivery. • Proven project delivery expertise in the engineering industry. • Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. • Leadership ability to challenge practices and secure stakeholder buy‑in. • Management skills for supervising technical specialists and handling resources. • Analytical and problem‑solving expertise, including business analysis and workflow automation. • Proficiency in at least one digital discipline (information management, BIM, GIS, data analytics, automation). • Experience with CDEs such as ProjectWise, BIM 360, SharePoint, Aconex. • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BS1192/PAS1192 standards. • Service‑oriented mindset and ability to own client relationships. • Ability to work autonomously in fluid environments with a proactive attitude. • Growth mindset and eagerness to develop new skills.
