About the Role

Accountable for staying updated on ANZ national grid technical requirements, challenges, and National Electricity rules related to new customer power connections. Provide regular updates to management on upcoming technology and rule changes, identify gaps, and conduct risk versus opportunity analysis. Assess and advise on the impacts of new technologies such as data centres, HVDC, BESS, and EV infrastructure integration. Participate in pre‑sales processes to understand customer business, technical objectives, and project requirements, and collaborate with product management, commercial sales teams, and partners to develop solutions and write technical and commercial proposals. • Monitor ANZ grid technical requirements and National Electricity rules for new connections. • Deliver management updates on technology/rule changes, gap analysis, and risk‑opportunity assessments. • Evaluate impacts of data centres, HVDC, BESS, and EV infrastructure on the grid. • Support pre‑sales by understanding customer objectives and drafting technical/commercial proposals. • Collaborate with product, sales, and partner teams to develop customer solutions.

What You Bring

Require three or more years of experience in the utility or energy sector, preferably working with AEMO or NSP on grid connection inquiries. High‑level knowledge of power‑system modelling software such as PSCAD, PSSE, or BESS is advantageous, though hands‑on expertise is not essential. Strong leadership, relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial. A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline is required. • Minimum 3 years experience in utility/energy sector, preferably with AEMO or NSP. • Knowledge of PSCAD, PSSE, or BESS modelling software (advantageous, not mandatory). • Demonstrated leadership, relationship management, and communication skills. • Hold a tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
