About the Role
ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring safe and reliable electricity flow in the region and planning for the future grid, leading New England’s transition to clean energy. The organization is hiring an IT professional to develop, maintain, and support key market and enterprise applications, working with a dynamic team on diverse technologies and high‑impact projects in a fast‑paced environment. In this role you will manage the full software development lifecycle, troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and follow established IT standards and change‑management processes. • Develop and support internal/external web and vendor applications on Linux using Java, Groovy, Python, and Terraform. • Use relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. • Utilize AWS, Kubernetes, and other cloud‑native tools. • Write Unix shell scripts and automate tasks. • Implement CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jenkins, and related workflows. • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term solutions for complex issues. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address business and technical requirements. • Follow ISO‑NE business processes, IT standards, and change‑management protocols.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a relevant bachelor’s degree, possess solid software development experience, and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. • Work with Java SpringBoot framework. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of three years of professional software development experience. • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. • Proficient analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. • Desired: experience in application support. • Desired: familiarity with CMS platforms such as Crafter CMS or Liferay. • Desired: exposure to cloud development environments like GitPod or Codex.
