About the Role

The Data & Process Management (DPM) Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Autodesk is responsible for ensuring engineering and business teams achieve strategic outcomes. The TPM drives projects through roadmap execution, dependency tracking, and progress oversight, ensuring functional areas meet their responsibilities. This role requires delivering complex programs from planning through execution while aligning stakeholders and delivering business value. The TPM facilitates alignment across teams, divisions, and external partners, managing project plans, dependencies, and impediment removal. They serve as the central communication hub for complex initiatives, providing executive and team‑level status reporting on risks, achievements, and overall progress. During execution, the TPM continuously refines plans, supports engineering teams with exception handling, and leads risk mitigation to optimize delivery and improve team satisfaction. Key responsibilities include leading cross‑functional development efforts from design through delivery, automating delivery processes to create transparency, and championing continuous improvement within Autodesk’s Kaizen culture. The TPM drives change through retrospectives and lessons learned, ensuring technical solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively. • Coordinate cross‑team and cross‑division alignment with stakeholders. • Oversee project plans, track dependencies, and remove impediments throughout the lifecycle. • Act as primary communication conduit, delivering status updates on risks and outcomes to executives and teams. • Partner with product and engineering leaders to craft and continuously adjust delivery roadmaps. • Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to streamline delivery. • Provide exception handling support to engineering squads to keep progress on track. • Lead multi‑disciplinary development initiatives from design through implementation. • Implement automation for delivery workflows, ensuring transparency and a unified data source. • Promote continuous improvement using retrospectives and Kaizen‑based lessons learned. • Influence senior leadership and build strong relationships across architecture and product management.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or a related field, and at least five years of experience working with engineering and product teams on complex, multi‑team initiatives. Candidates should have three or more years in a technical program manager, product manager, software architect, or similar role, along with demonstrable knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and strong problem‑solving abilities. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or a related discipline. • Bring at least five years of experience partnering with engineering and product teams on large, multi‑team projects. • Possess three or more years in a technical program management, product management, or software architecture role. • Demonstrate solid expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related APIs. • Exhibit strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from technical crews to executives. • Skilled at building influence and nurturing stakeholder relationships. • Proficient in utilizing technical tools to scale program initiatives.
