About the Role
The role involves operating a variety of power-driven machinery to move dirt and other materials. Equipment may include backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, draglines, front‑end loaders, motor graders, cherry pickers, dump trucks, and similar machines. • Set up and operate production equipment according to guidelines and procedures. • Adjust machine settings to meet specifications accurately and timely. • Control diesel, electric, gasoline, or steam‑powered equipment using hand and foot levers. • Interpret hand signals to determine material placement. • Manipulate equipment on uneven working surfaces when required. • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials or work pieces during installation. • Perform routine maintenance or repairs as needed. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules; perform other duties as required. • Observe load hook‑up and assess load safety. • Manipulate crane controls to regulate speed and direction per instructions. • Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanisms. • Inspect crane for defects, document issues, and notify the supervisor. • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. • Carry out minor maintenance or cleaning on tools and equipment. • Interpret load charts when required.

What You Bring
A high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant field experience, is required. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of industry concepts and procedures, work under immediate supervision, and typically do not need to exercise independent judgment. Reporting is usually to a supervisor or manager. Physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting for most of the shift, as well as lifting and carrying up to 10 lb, and pushing or pulling loads of up to 50 ft‑lb. Workers must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and use their fingers as required, with varying frequency.
