About the Role
The Sorter role ensures proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line, following standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area. The position reports safety concerns and attends regular meetings. • Inspect materials and sort items by type, size, condition, color or paper grade. • Remove contaminants from paper and floor. • Stack boxes and skids; dump boxes and totes of material. • Feed wastepaper onto the conveyor. • Clean the conveyor and surrounding sorting line and keep the work area tidy. • Monitor machine start‑up, ensure proper operation and moderate speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment operation and maintenance. • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions. • Attend weekly or monthly safety and operations meetings.

What You Bring
