About the Role
The role is responsible for managing end‑to‑end EXIM operations, international and domestic logistics, customs compliance, DGFT activities, and vendor coordination, ensuring smooth movement of goods across global and domestic supply chains while optimizing cost and maintaining high operational efficiency. Core duties involve handling export/import documentation, coordinating with international suppliers, freight forwarders and regulatory bodies, planning cost‑effective transportation, overseeing customs clearance and bonded‑warehouse operations, collaborating with procurement and production teams, and negotiating with logistics vendors. • Manage complete export and import documentation as per statutory requirements. • Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, CHAs, and regulatory bodies. • Ensure adherence to INCO terms, LC terms, shipping instructions, and trade compliance norms. • Track shipments and monitor timely clearance at ports. • Plan and execute cost‑effective transportation solutions for domestic and overseas shipments. • Coordinate with transporters, freight carriers, and logistics partners for timely deliveries. • Monitor freight rates, negotiate contracts, and optimize transportation costs. • Handle customs clearance processes including filing of BOE, Shipping Bills, etc. • Ensure compliance with DGFT policies and maintain documentation. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Foreign Trade Policy and regulatory updates. • Collaborate with procurement, production, planning, and sales teams to ensure uninterrupted supply. • Support forecasting, demand planning, and inventory control strategies. • Improve process efficiency across the overall supply chain. • Identify, develop, and manage logistics and customs vendors. • Conduct rate negotiations, evaluate vendor performance, and drive cost optimization. • Build strong working relationships to ensure service quality and reliability. • Oversee operations of customs‑bonded warehouses including documentation, compliance, and audit readiness.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Indian customs regulations and duty structures, expertise in multimodal logistics and Incoterms, experience managing insurance claims and bonded‑warehouse compliance, strong material‑planning and procurement skills, and proven negotiation and vendor‑management abilities. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business or a related field and 5–10 years of experience in EXIM, logistics, customs or international trade are required; Schneider Electric offers a culture driven by IMPACT values, a commitment to sustainability, diversity, inclusion, and ethical standards. • Deep knowledge of Indian customs regulations, duty structures, and compliance procedures. • Expertise in domestic and international logistics, multimodal transportation, Incoterms, and freight optimization. • Proficient in managing marine and transit insurance claims. • Experience overseeing bonded‑warehouse operations and compliance. • Skilled in material planning, procurement, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization. • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost control abilities. • Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills for cross‑functional collaboration. • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SAP/ERP, and digital tools for data analysis and reporting.
