About the Role

As a Proof Inspector you will be responsible for the proof inspection of turbine blades, fixtures and associated equipment, interpreting blade, tooling, manufacture and finish drawings. The role ensures that inspection processes meet the required quality and technical standards. Key accountabilities include programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using MCOSOMOS Mitutoyo software to create calibration, Op proving and FAIR programmes; programming a 3D structured‑light GOM ScanBox system and analyzing data with Polyworks IMInspect; collaborating with Operations and Engineering to prioritize work and troubleshoot CMM and GOM assets; and performing measurements with inspection tables, sine tables, ball pins, slip gauges, micrometers, verniers and height gauges while applying trigonometric calculations. The role also involves conducting First Article Inspection (FAI) on new blades, complying with blade inspection standards, carrying out QAS audits, and maintaining master blade records with a personal stamp. • Program CMM using MCOSOMOS Mitutoyo software to create calibration, Op proving and FAIR programmes. • Program 3D structured‑light GOM ScanBox and analyze data with Polyworks IMInspect for calibration and tooling support. • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to prioritize work and troubleshoot CMM/GOM assets. • Perform measurements using inspection tables, sine tables, ball pins, slip gauges, micrometers, verniers and height gauges, applying trigonometric calculations. • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) on new blades to validate production and inspection fixtures. • Ensure compliance with blade inspection standards, conduct QAS audits and maintain master blade records with a personal stamp. • Interpret casting, machining and tooling drawings with ASME & ISO geometric tolerancing. • Execute trigonometry and compound‑angle calculations for measurement verification.
