About the Role
• Lead mechanical engineering design on assigned power generation projects. • Serve as lead engineer, overseeing deliverable development for projects of all sizes. • Coordinate with mechanical piping design team to complete engineering drawings. • Collaborate across disciplines on equipment arrangements, P&IDs, isometrics, and asset lists. • Provide technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence, and complex solution presentations. • Generate mechanical engineering deliverables from feasibility through detailed design. • Develop construction and equipment specifications and material requisitions. • Support home office during construction, start‑up, and commissioning phases. • Perform quality control reviews of work produced by others. • Participate in project and client meetings and interact with vendors, regulators, and contractors. • Assist with internal and external presentations and travel occasionally to sites.

What You Bring
• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years relevant experience (or equivalent). • Experience in mechanical engineering for power generation facilities. • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred). • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (preferred). • 12+ years experience with power generation facilities (preferred). • 5+ years as technical mechanical lead or engineer of record (preferred). • Design experience with combined‑cycle plants and nuclear generation stations (preferred). • Deep knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, PIP, ANSI, ASTM, etc.) (preferred). • Expertise specifying rotating and static equipment and piping material specifications (preferred). • Familiarity with diverse metallurgy and startup/commissioning field experience (preferred). • Proficiency with engineering software: Thermoflow, Hysys, Caesar II, Pipe‑Flo, AspenTech, etc. (preferred). • Experience with collaborative modeling tools (Navisworks, BIM 360) (preferred).

Benefits
The role is based in New Orleans, LA, with a hybrid work model and a compensation range of $135,000‑$165,000 per year. Relocation assistance and sponsorship for US employment authorization are not available.
