HVAC Service Technician

About the Role

• Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction. • Use hand tools, follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units. • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations. • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers. • Prepare for on‑site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on‑site work. • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness. • Maintain vehicles by keeping service records, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance. • Inspect equipment for wear and notify customer and/or Operations Manager of findings. • Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration, and maintain files. • Serve as a direct customer contact representing the company. • Determine parts to order for repairs and ensure timely delivery. • Record parts, material, labor, subcontractor and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources. • Submit all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. • Stay current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair. • Read and interpret product specifications. • Provide technical support to customers. • Travel regularly with some overnight travel as needed.
