About the Role

The Welder operates robotic welders and a tangent bender in line with SOP/VOP to ensure customers receive a quality product. Responsibilities include welding steel, aluminum, and stainless steel joints, racks, blocks, and other items using TIG and MIG processes, as well as interpreting technical plans, blueprints, and models. The role also requires use of material handling equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and reporting any injuries or unsafe conditions. The position involves work in Bottom Weld, Tangent Bender, and Cover Weld areas, utilizing a Fanuc ARC Mate 100i robot work cell with ArcTool software and an R-J2 controller. The employee will handle start-up, change-over, and shutdown of robotic and bender operations, and may be required to teach the robot when tank sizes change. Additional responsibilities include obtaining internal forklift and hoist/crane certifications and conducting visual inspections of equipment and PPE. • Operate the Fanuc ARC Mate 100i robotic welding cell and its control software. • Start-up, change over, and shut down robot welding and tangent bender operations. • Program or teach the robot when tank size changes occur. • Visually inspect welder torch and wire feeder; clean wire feed and verify PPE each shift. • Adjust welding equipment as needed to maintain quality welds. • Produce welds that meet company quality standards. • Meet daily production targets. • Perform touch-up welds when required. • Train new operators on equipment and procedures.

What You Bring

Work is performed from catalog numbers and various reports, with an emphasis on prompt, efficient service and high-quality workmanship. The Welder must attend annual LOTO and General Electrical Safety training and maintain safe work practices to prevent injuries. Continuous improvement and teamwork are encouraged within a culture that values creativity and professional growth. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a welding diploma from an accredited one-year program. Prior experience with TIG, MIG, and robotic welding is preferred. • Obtain internal forklift certification and hoist/crane training.
