About the Role

As an FPGA Engineer in our Oil & Gas division, you will develop high‑reliability digital systems for demanding environments such as downhole drilling tools, subsea instrumentation, or refinery monitoring systems, using VHDL to implement complex data‑acquisition and signal‑processing algorithms under strict power and thermal constraints, and you will conduct hands‑on lab validation to ensure system integrity before field deployment. • Implement low‑power, high‑temperature synthesizable VHDL designs (surviving >150 °C) for rugged applications. • Lead hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and thermal chambers to verify timing and functional reliability. • Develop and test custom and standard communication interfaces such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, CAN, and mud‑pulse telemetry. • Design robust memory interfaces (DDR3/4) with error‑correction coding for large‑scale data logging. • Create and maintain documentation of test protocols and validation results to support safety and compliance certifications. • Perform functional, timing, post‑synthesis and post‑layout verification with appropriate simulators. • Design for battery‑operated or power‑limited remote systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • vhdl design
  • hardware testing
  • comm interfaces
  • memory interface
  • verification
  • power design

What You Bring

We seek humble geniuses who view engineering as a way to make the impossible possible, innovators inspired by technology, and courageous challenge‑crushers who thrive as trusted partners to Fortune 500 customers, embodying a collaborative and learning‑focused culture. • Expert proficiency in VHDL and use of Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Lattice FPGA or Microchip Libero toolchains. • Master high‑speed digital probing, power analysis (e.g., XPE) and hardware‑software debugging. • Experience with ADC/DAC interfaces (JESD204B or LVDS) for precision instrumentation. • Hold a B.E./M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering. • Minimum 3 years of FPGA development experience, preferably in industrial automation, subsea electronics or downhole tools. • Strong analytical mindset for root‑cause debugging in multidisciplinary systems.
