About the Role

In this role, the engineer will create basic electrical designs under senior guidance and produce specifications, system narratives, and layout drawings for projects of varying scale. The work also involves coordinating system applications, design parameters, and operational sequences while ensuring quality through QA/QC oversight. Additional duties include construction administration, field inspections, and handling project documentation such as RFIs and change orders. • Begin establishing system application, design, and operational parameters/sequences under senior direction • Participate in and oversee QA/QC processes for own work and that of others • Assist in determining project scheduling, manpower needs, and budgets • Perform construction administration and field investigations, including inspections and detailed reports • Assist in processing RFIs, change orders, bulletins, and addenda

The firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join its Washington, DC design team, where the role involves representing the company and collaborating closely with internal designers, external clients, and consultants. The position offers the chance to progress from basic design assignments to more complex projects as part of a technical team. Candidates should be proficient in Revit for system layout and spatial coordination, and have a solid understanding of LEED principles applied to building designs. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least seven years of consulting experience, and an FE/EIT certification are required, with a PE registration and LEED AP designation preferred. Experience with Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission‑Critical projects, as well as AutoCAD MEP and design calculation software, is also essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution • 7+ years of experience in a consulting firm • Current PE registration preferred; FE/EIT required • LEED AP highly preferred • Experience with Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission‑Critical projects • Proficiency in Revit and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP • Skilled in design and calculation software
