Development /Transport Planner

About the Role

• Prepare traffic flow information for use in transport assessments or environmental statements. • Set up and run junction capacity modelling software (e.g., Junctions 10, Linsig) and conduct scenario testing. • Carry out conceptual junction design, including priorities, roundabouts and signal planning. • Share technical knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

The role requires solid experience in transport assessments, travel plans, access and parking strategies, as well as proficiency with junction capacity modelling tools and conceptual junction design, complemented by strong communication skills, a willingness to share technical knowledge and confidence using standard software such as Excel and Word. • Experience with transport assessments, travel plans, access strategies, parking strategies, sustainable transport and active travel, guided by standards such as NPPF and DfT Transport Assessment guidelines. • Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with clients, project teams, co‑professionals and stakeholders. • Proficient use of everyday software packages such as Excel and Word.
