About the Role

The Associate Procurement Specialist will manage the acquisition of goods, services, and supplies, ensuring favorable terms and volume discounts while addressing defects and delivery issues. The role requires close coordination with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams to guarantee timely movement and receipt of items. This position is based in Houston and follows a hybrid schedule of two days on‑site and two to three days remote each week. • Negotiate terms, volume discounts, and long‑term contracts with suppliers. • Procure goods and services on schedule to meet business and customer requirements. • Resolve defects, delivery delays, and negotiate refunds or replacements. • Coordinate scheduling, movement, and receipt of items with internal teams. • Monitor supplier performance, ensure contract compliance, and initiate corrective actions. • Maintain accurate records of contracts, orders, and correspondence. • Analyze market trends and recommend improvements to procurement strategies. • Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, and data analyses for decision‑making. • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry standards, and regulations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 2 years of procurement experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts. • Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint or similar procurement software (preferred). • Knowledge of Federal Government contracts and commercial or defense procurement processes (preferred).
