About the Role
The position involves a wide range of manual activities on industrial construction sites, such as moving and retrieving equipment, digging, standing by for fire safety, climbing structures, and using rigging or hoisting devices. The employee also performs preventative maintenance like lubrication and repair of worn parts while following directions from supervisors or journeymen. • Perform manual tasks such as moving, digging, and retrieving equipment and stand by for fire safety. • Use a fire extinguisher when needed. • Climb onto structures and scaffolding. • Operate rigging and hoisting devices (chokers, chain falls, come‑along) to position equipment/materials. • Conduct preventative maintenance, including lubrication and repair of worn parts. • Follow supervisor directions.

What You Bring
Candidates must meet all physical demands, possess experience with industrial hand and power tools, and have reliable transportation to work any day as needed. Required skills include basic tool knowledge, problem‑solving, manual dexterity, reading comprehension, strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to Zachry values and safety rules. Preferred qualifications are prior Zachry employment, basic mechanical knowledge, industrial construction experience, and formal technical education. The role requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights in all weather conditions while wearing the required personal protective equipment. No specific certifications or licenses are required. • Use industrial hand and power tools with experience. • Have reliable transportation and be available to work any day as needed. • Possess basic knowledge of hand/power tools and mechanical concepts. • Demonstrate problem‑solving, manual dexterity, and reading comprehension. • Work effectively as a team player with good communication skills. • Commit to Zachry values and safety regulations. • Preferred: Zachry ROF’ed or former employee, basic mechanical knowledge, industrial construction site experience, formal/technical education.
