About the Role
• Build and maintain customer relationships; schedule jobs, explain invoices, identify repair needs, and recommend maintenance. • Develop and sustain Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction. • Set annual Service Department goals and budgets aligned with financial and operational objectives. • Share best practices and implement common processes across the Service Department. • Oversee work order closure, reviewing for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate parts and labor. • Manage Supervisors and Technicians, including performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. • Coordinate training schedules and support employee development. • Hold Technicians accountable to performance expectations. • Foster a safety culture within the Service Department. • Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare findings reports. • Manage tool and part inventory, ensuring timely ordering through supervisory group. • Effectively lead, influence, and communicate internally and externally. • Manage high‑volume workflow efficiently.

Milton CAT is seeking a Service Manager for its Londonderry, NH Earthmoving and Power Systems shop divisions. The Service Manager will oversee the service customer interface, employee development, safety, financial performance, and planning & scheduling, and must possess strong technical knowledge of construction equipment, diesel engines, and power generation. The position offers a base salary of $110,000 annually, with higher compensation possible based on skills and experience, and includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
