About the Role

Throughout the program, interns participate in regular events, weekly lunch‑and‑learn sessions, and receive customized training from various business units. This structure provides insight into supporting Stanley Black & Decker’s operations in the US and abroad while building a cross‑functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work collaboratively in team‑oriented environments. • Design and develop hand and power tools using CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on product development, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. • Support prototyping and testing of new designs, analyzing performance, durability, and safety. • Assist in design for manufacturing to optimize cost, materials, and production feasibility. • Work with Product Design, Testing, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, and Manufacturing groups. • Maintain strong academic record and manage coursework alongside extracurricular activities.

This exposure helps develop a holistic understanding of the product lifecycle. Candidates should be rising juniors or seniors targeting graduation in 2026 or 2027, pursuing Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering degrees. A strong academic record and the ability to balance coursework with extracurricular activities are required.
