About the Role
The OHE Foreman leads a crew in daily tasks related to the placement of overhead electrical cables, ensuring safety, tracking employee hours, and conducting safety briefings and inspections. The role oversees the line team, coordinates with multiple departments, and is responsible for meeting customer needs while maintaining quality and timeliness. The Foreman also serves as a qualified observer for critical aerial work. • Obtain necessary materials and ensure permits and licenses are secured • Oversee project work and assume full responsibility for quality and timeliness • Ensure compliance with the highest applicable safety standards and procedures • Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections • Disseminate safety information and confirm crew understanding • Perform aerial tasks such as new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, and lashing when appropriate • Place overhead electrical cables • Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach hardware on wires, cables, buildings, or poles • Coordinate and supervise crew tasks related to digging and product placement • Execute construction work including digging holes, installing cable, air pipe, and inner duct work in various conduit systems • Climb utility poles or use aerial lift trucks to install cables per system design • Drive, haul, and operate equipment to and from job sites to support crew operations • Train new hires and trainees in the trade

What You Bring
This position is primarily field‑based and requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in inclement weather such as extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, or wind. Employees must have clear vision at distance and close range, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors. The role demands physical stamina and adaptability to various work environments. • Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, 6 years experience, 2 years supervisory experience, Class A CDL • Preferred qualifications: 8+ years experience with extensive supervisory and training background, OSHA 20 Certification
