About the Role

Within AECOM's environmental practice, teams provide advisory and technical services that ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risk for clients in industry and government. The work includes obtaining permits, decommissioning contaminated sites, and addressing climate change resilience while protecting habitats, water quality, and cultural resources. A holistic approach is applied at every stage of a project. The role involves delivering planning approvals and environmental impact assessments for high‑profile infrastructure projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary specialist teams across sectors such as energy, water, and transport, and support Project Managers to meet timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Planning or a related discipline and have at least five years of planning approvals experience within Victoria. They bring a solid track record on infrastructure projects, strong coordination and commercial skills, and a sound understanding of the Victorian planning framework.
