About the Role

The Maintenance Technician at Solis at Flamingo supports residents by ensuring quality move‑ins, residential satisfaction, speedy service, and personalized attention. This role is accountable for delivering on these commitments and representing Cush‑Wakefield professionally. Daily duties include preparing make‑ready apartments—painting, carpet repairs, cleaning and general repairs—while responding to resident requests promptly and courteously. The technician must be proficient in plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and snow removal where applicable, and maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas and dog park amenities in clean, operational, and safe condition. The position may require on‑call scheduling for after‑hour emergencies, reporting maintenance concerns on vacant units and common areas to the supervisor, and performing scheduled maintenance tasks while complying with state, local and federal fair‑housing laws and mandatory training programs. • Prepare make‑ready apartments (paint, carpet repair, cleaning, general repairs). • Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests. • Perform maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal. • Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities. • Be on‑call for after‑hour emergencies and report issues to the supervisor. • Follow fair housing laws and complete required training. • Deliver superior customer service and adhere to uniform and safety standards. • Read policies, compute ratios, solve routine problems, and write reports.

What You Bring

Required competencies include a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II and CPO certifications, the ability to read policy manuals and maintenance instructions, basic math and problem‑solving skills, and the capacity to write routine reports. The technician must follow all safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment, and demonstrate reliable punctual attendance. Candidates need at least a high school diploma, GED, or technical/vocational training plus one year of related experience. The work environment is a professional office setting with standard equipment, regular travel between properties, and physical demands such as standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 100 lb, with up to 10 % travel time. • Hold a valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type II/CPO certification. • Possess a high school diploma/GED or technical/vocational training; 1+ year experience. • Work in an office setting, travel between properties, and handle physical tasks up to 100 lb.
