About the Role
The role prepares owner billings in line with contract terms, ensures job costs follow internal controls, identifies financial risk, and maintains strong relationships with subcontractors and the project management team to deliver excellent customer service and timely payments. • Administer jobs with complex contractual issues such as certified payroll, diversity & inclusion participation, prevailing‑wage, and TIF compliance. • Prepare cost‑plus, cost‑plus GMP, and lump‑sum billings, ensuring timely capture of allowable costs. • Track and verify subcontractor lien waivers. • Use CMiC software to support billing processes. • Produce and review monthly financial reports, including profit swing analysis and identification of late or unbilled activity. • Provide ad‑hoc or specialized financial reporting for group leaders. • Review, sign, and approve client billings on behalf of project accountants. • Train and mentor new accounting hires. • Lead special projects and facilitate job closeout, including preparation of accruals and profit/loss reconciliation. • Coordinate the overall billing workflow with the project team.

What You Bring
Applicants should hold a BS in Accounting (business focus preferred) and bring at least five years of construction accounting experience. Strong interpersonal abilities, independence, initiative, and analytical problem‑solving are essential.
