About the Role

The Payroll Clerk II processes complete payroll for assigned business units, handling calculations for withholdings, deductions, overtime, salary changes and more. This role also edits timecards, administers direct deposits, records wage garnishments, prepares wage statements, and ensures timely payroll tax deposits while managing vacation requests and compliance audits. • Process full payroll cycle, including calculations for withholdings, deductions, overtime, and salary changes • Edit and release field timecards to the payroll system • Administer and maintain employee direct deposits • Record and deduct child support payments, IRS levies, and other wage garnishments • Prepare wage statements for commissions, workers' compensation insurers, and government agencies • Assemble data for weekly and quarterly payroll tax deposits • Verify and process employee vacation requests and issue vacation checks • Audit W‑4 forms and termination data for compliance with company, state, and federal regulations • Process W‑4 updates, personnel corrections, and special payments • Research employee wage information for current and prior years as needed • Monitor employee account balances • Organize and maintain routine and confidential payroll records • Maintain high customer service orientation and accurate mathematical reasoning

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a high school diploma and 1–3 years of related experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook. Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service, accuracy, mathematical reasoning, effective verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor's or associate degree and have 3–5 years of relevant experience.
