About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will lead interdisciplinary teams, coordinate project interactions with existing facilities, and serve as the primary liaison with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include preparing reports and presentations, negotiating scope changes, establishing project execution, health‑safety, and QA/QC plans, and monitoring budgets, schedules, and deliverables. The manager also drives weekly status meetings, change‑order management, and the pursuit of additional work opportunities. • Communicate effectively in writing and orally; prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for government and senior personnel. • Schedule and coordinate project interactions among existing and occupied facilities. • Manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories. • Integrate competing or conflicting elements into planning and execution to ensure smooth project flow. • Navigate federal and local government office building procedural, review, and approval requirements. • Mobilize company resources through liaison with support departments, offices, or subsidiaries to form effective project teams. • Define qualifications for key project positions with profit‑center and department managers. • Collaborate with office facilities staff to address project space requirements. • Act as company representative with clients and selected subcontractors during program execution. • Negotiate scope changes with clients and key subcontractors. • Market and secure additional work with the client. • Follow up on project instructions and commitments. • Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings as needed. • Oversee creation of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan. • Establish program requirements and monitor draft and final deliverables for compliance. • Develop and distribute a brief project description to all team members. • Work with managers, engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and project plans. • Ensure project meets or exceeds goals established in budgets and schedules. • Devise and execute action plans to address cost overruns, delays, or significant scope changes. • Maintain current and timely change orders. • Promote technical and commercial excellence through quality assurance processes. • Monitor and report progress, milestones, and conditions affecting cost or schedule. • Hold weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.

What You Bring

Successful candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and bring at least 15 years of engineering management experience on large‑scale programs. They possess a broad technical and business background, professional registration (if required), and must meet Parsons’ project‑management certification standards. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with a hands‑on technical approach, are essential.
