About the Role
Key responsibilities include evaluating material submittals, approving method statements and inspection test plans, overseeing material testing, and ensuring compliance with codes such as QCS 2014. The engineer will also implement QA/QC procedures, conduct trend analyses on non‑conforming materials, audit the contractor’s supply chain, prioritize locally manufactured materials, and maintain detailed records and lessons‑learned documentation. • Evaluate and approve material submittals against project specifications. • Review and approve Method Statements and Inspection Test Plans. • Witness and oversee material testing to verify compliance. • Ensure materials meet QCS 2014 and other relevant codes. • Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures and conduct trend analysis of non‑conforming materials. • Audit contractor supply chain for quality and contractual compliance. • Prioritize use of locally manufactured materials when feasible. • Maintain comprehensive records of tests, inspections, and compliance reports. • Compile lessons‑learned documentation to improve future projects. • Provide technical support on material selection, testing, and compliance to project teams. • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices in material testing. • Stay current with industry trends, materials science advances, and testing methodologies.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have at least 15 years of relevant experience, with 7 years on infrastructure projects focused on quality assurance and statistical control. Required certifications include MMUP/MME and ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor qualifications. The ideal applicant can identify process‑improvement opportunities, stay current with industry trends in materials science, and demonstrate strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
