About the Role

E‑J is hiring an Electrical Project Manager for its Transit division in New York City, reporting to the Senior Project Manager. The role involves leading electrical projects from conception through closeout, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards while maintaining clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, monitor progress, manage documentation, and address any issues that arise to keep work on track. This includes developing budgets, procuring resources, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability. • Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. • Provide regular status updates to clients and stakeholders, highlighting risks and milestones. • Lead and facilitate project meetings and coordinate communication with field supervision. • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and closeout files. • Perform estimating and develop comprehensive project budgets while monitoring costs. • Resolve project‑related issues, conflicts, or delays promptly to maintain progress. • Procure and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed. • Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and profitability.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of project management experience in electrical contracting or engineering, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Procore and Riskcast. They should demonstrate excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, as well as practical knowledge of construction processes and business acumen. • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in electrical contracting. • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, Emque, Riskcast, Toric). • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or related field. • Strong organizational, multitasking, and detail‑orientation abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
