About the Role

• Perform plant cleaning, equipment/component cleaning, and radiological decontamination • Maintain grounds, conduct fire watch and fire protection surveillance • Provide general labor support for all plant departments • Follow written plant operation, maintenance, and safety procedures • Obtain and maintain General Security Clearance and Nuclear Security Clearance, including nuclear General Access Training and security screening

What You Bring

The role includes plant cleaning, radiological decontamination, equipment and component cleaning, grounds maintenance, fire watch, fire protection surveillance, and general labor support for all departments. A qualification program will be provided and must be completed within two years. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, the ability to safely lift 50 pounds, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must also be able to follow written plant operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. Preferred qualifications include experience working as a temporary Nuclear Plant Services Attendant within the last year, the ability to work from elevated and confined spaces such as scaffolding and catwalks, and adherence to Xcel Energy safety requirements. Employment is conditioned on obtaining and maintaining a General Security Clearance and a Nuclear Security Clearance, which require successful completion of nuclear General Access Training and the security screening process. • Complete a qualification program within two years • Hold a high school diploma or GED • Possess basic computer skills and a valid driver’s license • Safely lift up to 50 pounds and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication • Work from elevated and confined spaces such as scaffolding and catwalks • Prior experience as a temporary Nuclear Plant Services Attendant (preferred)
