Casual Catering Assistant

About the Role

Join us on the journey. We are currently seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to join the Spotless team under its subcontract to Secure Journeys. In this role you will assist with the preparation and service of high‑quality, nutritious meals, contributing to the well‑being of individuals in the centre. • Assemble, prepare, and produce food as directed by the Chef Manager/Head Chef • Clean food preparation and consumption areas, cooking equipment, and utensils • Ensure HACCP compliance, monitor food safety standards, maintain hygiene, and complete documentation accurately and timely • Operate kitchen equipment safely and keep it clean and well‑maintained

What You Bring

• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen environment • Bulk cooking experience in aged‑care or resource‑sector settings • Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (or willingness to undertake the course) • Valid food safety certificates and full understanding of HACCP guidelines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and drive to deliver high‑quality outcomes • Australian Federal Police check and medical assessment required
