About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to operate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fiber‑optic equipment on wind turbine generators to support site operations. • Troubleshoot and repair wind turbine generator systems using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. • Read schematics, diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly procedures. • Inspect and test wire installations, assemblies, and circuits. • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery components. • Operate hydraulic torque and tension equipment for preventative maintenance of tower flanges, gearbox mounts, and blade/hub bolts. • Perform crane rigging, lifting, and tag‑line operations using verbal and hand signals. • Document work order details—including type, cost, materials, and time—in the management system. • Follow safety protocols and maintain meticulous attention to detail on all tasks. • Provide on‑call support and work outside regular business hours as needed.

What You Bring

The role may require on‑call availability, overtime, and occasional travel, while emphasizing safety, attention to detail, and effective communication in a fast‑paced, technically demanding environment. • Minimum qualifications: Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology/Electronics or HS diploma/GED with 12 months technical training; completion of required training (EEI test, High Voltage), ability to climb 300 ft turbine up to three times daily, lift up to 50 lb, and possess a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle. • Good oral and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Preferred qualifications: experience with substation/switchyard operation, high‑voltage switching, SEL or equivalent control relays, outage planning, and medium‑voltage distribution.
