About the Role
The accountant will shape unit‑economic measurement, ensure accurate landed costs, and support Jetson’s rapid multi‑warehouse expansion using NetSuite and integrated WMS tools. Key responsibilities include managing cost and inventory accounting, integrating systems, handling financial close and reporting, and partnering across functions to provide cost insights and drive margin improvements. • Own and maintain standard costs, landed costs, and cost roll‑ups for equipment, materials, and parts. • Perform inventory valuation, reconcile subledgers, and ensure accuracy across multiple warehouses. • Manage monthly and quarterly COGS close processes, including accruals, adjustments, and variance analysis. • Conduct inventory cycle‑count variance reporting and root‑cause analysis with warehouse teams. • Analyze purchase price, freight, and material usage variances to optimize cost performance. • Optimize NetSuite item records, cost categories, inventory workflows, and replenishment methods. • Ensure accurate inventory transactions (receiving, transfers, returns, adjustments) with WMS providers. • Support process improvements in receiving, putaway, bill‑of‑materials costing, and inter‑warehouse transfers. • Validate vendor charges, freight costs, and landed cost allocations with Supply Chain. • Prepare month‑end inventory and COGS reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation. • Develop unit cost reporting, margin analysis, and operational dashboards. • Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls for inventory and cost accounting. • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for materials, freight, and inventory performance. • Provide cost insights to Operations, Procurement, and Install teams to influence sourcing and margin initiatives. • Support Controller and CFO with ad‑hoc cost analyses as the company scales.

What You Bring
Jetson is seeking a motivated, detail‑driven Cost Accountant to build and maintain cost and inventory accounting capabilities across its U.S. and Canadian operations. The role will own inventory valuation, cost structures and cost of goods sold, collaborating closely with Operations, Supply Chain and warehouse teams. Successful candidates will have at least five years of cost or inventory accounting experience, strong hands‑on knowledge of inventory workflows, proficiency with NetSuite, and deep understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. CPA designation or candidacy is preferred, along with advanced Excel skills and experience in multi‑location inventory environments. • Minimum 5 years of cost, inventory, or manufacturing/distribution accounting experience. • Hands‑on experience with inventory workflows, cost roll‑ups and reconciliations. • Proficiency in NetSuite (strongly preferred) and advanced Excel/Sheets modeling. • Deep knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory valuation methods. • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to resolve discrepancies. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • CPA designation or candidacy preferred; equivalent experience considered. • Experience with multi‑location inventory environments or WMS tools is an asset.
