Installs, repairs, and maintains power distribution and UPS equipment on customer sites.

About the Role
• Perform pre‑site preparation, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications of equipment. • Solve problems with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance logs, and startup data sheets. • Collaborate with manager or Regional Service Director to resolve complex escalated issues. • Participate in continuous learning and training on various products in the field and classroom. • Travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight travel, to support customers. • Assist senior technicians and support project management on larger system start‑ups. • Work with larger teams of FSRs and project managers on high‑complexity projects. • Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues as needed.

What You Bring
Candidates should have an Associate’s degree, trade or vocational certification, military training or comparable electrical‑related experience, and be able to read blueprints and schematics. A solid understanding of AC and DC power principles, at least two years of field service repair and customer service with UPS, power distribution, switchgear or related equipment, and strong safety practices (including lock‑out/tag‑out, NFPA‑70E or OSHA knowledge) are required. Additional skills include safe vehicle operation, use of test and diagnostic equipment, effective written communication, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.

All Field Service Representatives receive direct product training and instruction on the digital and physical tools needed for the job. Schneider provides service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices and laptops for daily professional use. The position is site‑based with a 40‑hour guarantee (plus overtime) and most work is performed at customer sites, though occasional non‑standard hours may be required. Within the first 180 days, new hires experience an eight‑week in‑person training program at Schneider’s state‑of‑the‑art facility in Dallas, TX, with all expenses covered, followed by online training and a local mentor for on‑the‑job learning.
