About the Role

A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle meets the Company’s safety standards, adhere to all state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. The role requires thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, proper handling of waste using manual or automatic controls, and accurate completion of route, productivity and VCR paperwork. Drivers must maintain productivity standards, monitor vehicle readiness, and clean any accidental spills following safety protocols. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. • Safely operate the collection truck along the assigned route, read route sheets, and service each customer as directed. • Operate manual/automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at the designated facility. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per departmental procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean accidental spills according to safety standards. • Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip to keep the vehicle operational. • Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports accurately. • Maintain required productivity standards and minimize vehicle downtime. • Follow all safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program, and perform other assigned duties.

What You Bring

Successful candidates demonstrate strong customer service, time management, and follow‑through skills, and they uphold the Company’s safety policies without taking inappropriate risks. Minimum requirement is a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement.
