About the Role

The Technician position supports Sunbelt’s fast‑growing rental business by performing preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on a variety of equipment. Technicians work with aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and, at specialty locations, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil‑and‑gas systems. The goal is to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently to minimize downtime. • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management • May need to provide tools of the trade • Perform preventive maintenance on diverse equipment fleet • Conduct advanced diagnostics and complex repairs • Maintain safety standards to minimize equipment downtime • Service a fleet that may include aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil & gas equipment

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, with trade‑school training considered a plus, and ideally bring five or more years of experience servicing diesel, heavy, or specialty equipment. Experience with large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil‑and‑gas machinery is strongly preferred. Applicants should be prepared to supply their own tools when required. Successful technicians possess advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and strong troubleshooting abilities. They must be able to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to safety protocols. The role involves physical tasks such as bending, squatting, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working both indoors and outdoors. • Build skills by working on a variety of makes, models & equipment • High school diploma or GED required; trade school training desired • 5+ years of technician experience with diesel, heavy or specialty equipment preferred • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
