About the Role

Senior Project Managers work across sectors such as aviation, roads, rail, telecommunications and utilities, applying project management principles, contract management, financial control and health, safety, quality and environmental standards. They are expected to lead teams, develop talent, and manage ambiguity while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. • Manage complex infrastructure projects and programmes across sectors such as aviation, roads, rail, telecommunications and utilities. • Apply project management principles, contract management, financial controls, health & safety, quality and environmental standards. • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior project managers. • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with clients and partner organisations. • Analyse complex problems and deliver practical solutions under pressure. • Oversee multiple work streams and ensure effective communication with senior client representatives.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in infrastructure project or programme management, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure while motivating others. Effective planning, communication and organisational skills are essential for handling multiple work streams and senior client interactions. Beneficial experience includes highways infrastructure, NEC contract procurement, and managing contractors, consultants and advisors on large projects. Familiarity with public sector organisations and consultancy or client‑side project management is also valued. Qualifications require a degree or HND in a relevant field, professional affiliation with bodies such as APM, ICE or CIHT, and project management certification (APM, PRINCE2, MSP) together with NEC PM accreditation. • Prefer experience in highways projects, NEC contract procurement, and managing consultants and contractors. • Hold a degree or HND in construction, management or a related field and professional affiliation with APM, ICE, CIHT or similar. • Possess project management certification (APM, PRINCE2, MSP) and NEC PM accreditation.
