About the Role
You will lead the strategic development of planning procedures, ensuring robust bid and construction‑stage planning, programme control and reporting. The role coordinates bid appraisal material, supports tender solutions, and transfers programme intelligence from bid to contract, while maintaining compliance across live projects. • Develop and maintain regional planning procedures, protocols and best‑practice guidelines for bid and construction stages. • Provide planning support for regional bids, managing appraisal, risk analysis, statutory obligations and logistics solutions. • Collaborate with the bid team to create commercially attractive tender proposals. • Liaise with key supply‑chain partners to ensure alignment with programme strategy and compliance. • Prepare and present bid appraisal material for regional board settlement and client interviews. • Transfer programme intelligence from bid to contract, including assumptions, resource calculations and risk allowances. • Support live regional projects by ensuring procedural compliance and conducting audits of planning and programming. • Oversee As‑planned vs As‑built programme philosophy, delivering monthly updates on client, contractor and neutral risk events. • Apply Critical Path Analysis to operational programme reporting and provide commentary on float consumption. • Conduct delay analysis, produce reports and assist project teams in recovery strategies and re‑programming. • Maintain and update a regional project database with as‑built data for future programming use. • Lead the review, selection and allocation of planning software solutions and stay current with legal and case‑law changes.

What You Bring
The position requires proven experience in leading a planning team and front‑end construction project management, together with strong strategic thinking, knowledge of design, procurement, contracts and construction law, and the ability to audit and improve programme performance. • Proven experience leading a planning team and managing front‑end construction projects. • Strong strategic ability to review and develop procedures aligned with industry best practice. • Sound knowledge of design, procurement, commercial processes and their impact on planning. • Familiarity with construction contracts, law, technology, modern techniques and resource management.
