About the Role
The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager and leads a shop team that performs preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of diesel and alternative‑fuel trucks, containers, and other heavy‑duty equipment supporting post‑collection facilities and the container shop. This role ensures all work complies with company safety standards, federal and state regulations, and aims to reduce lost productivity through safe, timely scheduling. Key responsibilities include directing A, B, and C level technicians, monitoring operational performance, and reporting on results while recommending process improvements. The supervisor conducts daily shop huddles, fleet walks, coaching, counseling, and training, makes hiring and termination decisions with HR, and oversees employee evaluations, merit increases, and promotions. Additional duties involve inspecting external repairs, conducting quality‑control checks, overseeing complex diagnostics, managing inventory levels within budget, approving expenses, and maintaining advanced knowledge of engine, emission, transmission, brake, hydraulic, electrical, HVAC, and welding systems.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a high school diploma or G.E.D. with ASE certifications (T3‑T7, T2 Diesel Engine, and Master Certified) and a minimum of three years of heavy‑equipment maintenance experience plus one year in a supervisory or lead‑technician role. Candidates must demonstrate thorough knowledge of safe work practices, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.

Benefits
The position offers a salary range of $86,400 to $118,800 depending on location, with an annual incentive bonus target of 10% of base pay.
