About the Role
The EHS Team Lead is responsible for delivering facility management that protects personnel and property while ensuring business continuity and compliance with EHS laws and performance indicators. The role requires overseeing contractor safety, sustainability, and risk management across sites and being available to travel when requested. In this position you will evaluate contractor safety documentation, implement a robust pre‑qualification system, and collaborate with project managers and procurement to select compliant contractors. You will manage contract EHS terms, conduct audits, track performance metrics, provide training, and develop corrective action plans to maintain high safety and environmental standards. • Review and evaluate contractor safety documentation for EHS compliance. • Develop and implement a contractor pre‑qualification process. • Collaborate with project managers and procurement to select qualified contractors. • Administer contract EHS terms, including incident reporting and emergency response procedures. • Conduct formal audits of contractor operations and internal programs. • Establish and track KPIs for contractor risk management performance. • Provide feedback and corrective action plans for contractor performance gaps. • Deliver EHS training programs to contractors and project managers. • Investigate contractor incidents and near‑misses, implementing root‑cause corrective actions. • Stay current on EHS regulations and industry best practices; drive process improvements. • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, regulators, industry groups, and clients. • Lead and develop the EHS Contractor Management Team, fostering a safety culture.

What You Bring
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field and have at least five years of experience in contractor management and EHS regulations. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to deliver training and handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 5 years experience in contractor management, EHS regulations, and best practices. • Proven leadership of contractor management programs and teams. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience delivering training. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Proficiency with EHS management systems and software. • Available to travel as required; on‑site location Bengaluru, Karnataka; 48 weekly hours.
