About the Role

The Production Worker will work in a self‑directed, team‑oriented, advanced forging operation to produce quality product safely and efficiently. The role includes setting up equipment and tooling according to Process Sheet Work Instructions and performing quality inspections using gauges, SPC tracking, and blueprint reading. The worker collaborates with teammates to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Core duties involve operating and adjusting the forge press, trim press, automatic loader, graphite spray system, heat induction system, and related controls, as well as operating spray lubricant when required. Preventative maintenance and inspection checks on equipment and forklifts are performed, and the employee participates in plant‑wide teams or task forces focused on continuous improvement. • Set up equipment and tooling per Process Sheet Work Instructions • Perform quality inspections using gauges, SPC tracking, and blueprint reading • Operate and adjust forge press, trim press, automatic loader, graphite spray system, and heat induction system • Run spray lubricant as needed • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspection checks on equipment and forklifts • Communicate with team members to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction • Participate in plant‑wide teams or task forces for continuous improvement • Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance manuals • Apply basic math and measurement skills (micrometers, calipers) • Detect quality defects visually during production • Work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime • Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, have 1–2 years of continuous employment with one company, and possess experience interpreting blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. Basic math and measurement skills (micrometers, calipers) are required, along with the ability to lift up to 30 lb, stand or walk continuously, hear teammates, detect quality defects, and tolerate extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, and occasional mist. The position requires flexibility to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime, and strict adherence to safety rules and PPE requirements. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of South Bend, IN, unless exempt as active‑duty military; relocation benefits are not offered.
