About the Role
The Production Supervisor leads Fabrication operations to safely manufacture and deliver products for internal and interunit customers, aligning with engineering design specifications and quality standards while meeting on‑time delivery goals. This role requires clear written and verbal communication and collaboration across all levels of plant personnel, serving as the central point of contact for management regarding production issues. You will evaluate workload requirements and delegate tasks effectively to ensure proper staffing levels that support production demands. This includes managing shift tier meetings, cross‑shift communications, and fostering teamwork and operational consistency. Responsibility includes delivering and managing team training initiatives, creating, reviewing, and revising department standard work, and ensuring employees are trained and can demonstrate proficiency. You will also participate in the assessment, selection, coaching, and development of employees to drive strong performance. You will manage and support various MESH, Quality, and continuous‑improvement initiatives, attend related meetings, and lead Continuous Improvement events and audits such as ISO, MESH, and OpA for the Fabrication department. Investigating and resolving quality issues, working with the quality control team, and regularly reviewing quality trends are also key duties. Contributing to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture is essential; you will enforce proper use of personal protective equipment, safe operation of equipment, and conduct 5S duties. Ensuring that the department meets production demands and that team leaders understand their roles in order fulfillment is also required. • Lead Fabrication operations to meet engineering specs, quality standards, and delivery goals. • Evaluate workload and delegate tasks to maintain appropriate staffing levels. • Deliver team training, conduct shift tier meetings, and ensure cross‑shift communication. • Develop, review, and train employees on department standard work and proficiency. • Drive MESH, Quality, and continuous‑improvement initiatives, including ISO, MESH, OpA audits. • Investigate and resolve quality issues in collaboration with the quality control team. • Enforce safety policies, PPE usage, equipment operation, and 5S workplace organization.

What You Bring
Qualifications include at least an Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution (or a Bachelor’s in Engineering), a minimum of three years of experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or technical processes, and one year of leadership experience managing people or project teams. Lean manufacturing and Operational Excellence skills such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Visual Management are required, with preferred experience in Dynamic Machine Management (DMM), AS400, Vista, or Enovia. • Require at least an Associate’s Degree (or Bachelor’s in Engineering) and 3+ years manufacturing experience. • Require 1+ year leadership experience and Lean/Operational Excellence skills (5S, VSM, Standard Work). • Preferred experience with Dynamic Machine Management (DMM), AS400, Vista, or Enovia. • Candidates must reside within 50 mi of Sumter, SC (military exempt); no relocation assistance offered.
