About the Role

The role oversees plant financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely monthly close while maintaining robust accounting processes. The incumbent partners with the Finance Controller to manage statutory compliance, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and the integrity of the general ledger. A solid grasp of GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley, and local regulatory requirements is essential. By analyzing operating results and forecasting expenses, the position drives manufacturing productivity and provides management with actionable insights. It involves creating tools for cost optimization, reporting exceptional transactions, and supporting the strategic annual profit plan. Close collaboration with the plant team is required to achieve margin targets. System‑related initiatives such as ERP implementations, upgrades, and ensuring effective purchase‑to‑pay and order‑to‑cash processes fall under this responsibility. The role also supervises fixed‑asset accounting, foreign‑currency hedging, and cash‑flow forecasting, while delivering audit support for tax, GST, and transfer‑pricing examinations. • Manage, analyze, and evaluate operating results to drive manufacturing productivity. • Ensure timely monthly closure of books and maintain general ledger integrity through account reconciliations. • Assist the Finance Controller with plant accounting, statutory compliance, and balance‑sheet reconciliations. • Lead ad hoc projects, including ERP implementations and system upgrades. • Review and develop a monthly SEZ compliance checklist and ensure accurate GST filing. • Develop systems for cost‑optimization reporting and periodic exceptional‑transaction reporting. • Support strategic and annual profit planning and work with the plant team to meet margin forecasts. • Perform monthly plant expense forecasting, monitor actuals, and prepare variance commentary. • Oversee fixed‑asset accounting and verification in accordance with US and India GAAP. • Administer foreign‑currency hedges and forecast cash requirements. • Provide input for tax, GST, and transfer‑pricing audits. • Ensure compliance with internal audit, internal control, and corporate reporting policies.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold an MBA in Finance, M.Com, or ICWA Inter and possess 7‑8 years of post‑qualification experience, including at least five years within manufacturing accounting environments. Experience with large multinational reporting, internal audit, and ERP platforms like SAP, MFGPRO, or Oracle R12 is required. • Require MBA Finance/M.Com/ICWA Inter with 7‑8 years experience, including 5 years in manufacturing accounting, GAAP, and ERP systems (SAP, MFGPRO, Oracle).
