Facilities Maintenance - Pool Technician

About the Role

• Complete all maintenance and repair tasks as directed by Facilities and Operations management. • Monitor operation and proper use of all equipment and systems. • Maintain all operation buildings/structures and temporary office trailers. • Troubleshoot and repair issues throughout the club. • Answer and respond to maintenance calls for assistance. • Identify safety hazards, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs. • Monitor inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment. • Communicate task and project information affecting service to other departments. • Coordinate shutdown and start-ups of utilities when required. • Follow procedures for Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance. • Meet with vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of repair activities and materials. • Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. • Assist Facilities Engineer in maintaining and repairing fire and life safety systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen appliances, refrigeration, pool equipment, lighting, laundry equipment, and other systems as directed. • Manage building checklists to ensure assets are serviced according to schedule. • Respond promptly to emergencies.

What You Bring

• Communicate accurately and effectively with Department Heads, co‑workers, members and guests. • Know all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Graduate of an accredited technical school or apprenticeship (preferred). • 1+ years hands‑on experience maintaining a pool or equivalent education/experience combination. • Valid driver's license. • Proficiency in general maintenance and hand tools, including painting, sanding, basic electrical work, and snow removal. • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or drainage problems. • Electrical wiring skills to manage building electricity issues. • Carpentry ability for basic building repairs. • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods. • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. • Ability to meet physical demands, including working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and lifting/carrying items up to 60 pounds.
