About the Role

As a Sorter, you will ensure that materials are correctly placed and sorted on the conveyor line, handling tasks such as feeding wastepaper, stacking and dumping boxes, and keeping the work area clean while monitoring machine operation and following standard operating procedures. • Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, or grade onto conveyor lines. • Remove contaminants from paper and floor. • Stack, dump, and feed boxes, skids, totes, and wastepaper onto equipment. • Clean and maintain the sorting area and conveyor. • Monitor machine startup and operate at appropriate speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment use. • Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions. • Attend weekly or monthly safety and operations meetings.
