About the Role
Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil – Infrastructure) to support the Resident Engineer in supervising road and infrastructure construction. The role includes maintaining daily logs, ensuring safety and quality standards on site, and chairing meetings with authorities, contractors, and subcontractors to track progress and maintain accurate records. • Assist and supervise construction of roads and infrastructure, acting for Resident Engineer when absent • Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and utility-related correspondence • Coordinate with Parsons design engineers to resolve technical issues • Maintain daily diary, daily reports, and ensure accurate record keeping • Schedule resources with contractor engineers and monitor performance of inspectors and surveyors • Chair meetings with service authorities, contractors, and subcontractors • Ensure safety goals are met and oversee implementation of safety procedures • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports • Provide on‑site direction and issue site instructions for utility works • Measure progress, verify work against program, and ensure correct as‑built drawings • Manage handover of utility works and support final clearance to service authorities • Review material submissions, analyze lab reports, and enforce quality specifications

What You Bring
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least ten years of experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of road and bridge projects, including two years managing large‑scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. Strong English communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to maintain accurate records and as‑built drawings are required, and the role must be based in the UAE. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering • Minimum 10 years experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of road and bridge projects • At least 2 years supervising large‑scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi • Strong knowledge of contractual relationships • Proficient in computer applications and engineering software • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills • Availability to work in the UAE • Knowledge of Quality Assurance specifications and Statistical Quality Control
