About the Role
In this position you will oversee the entire lifecycle of AGL projects, from creating layout plans and sizing regulators to ensuring seamless integration with airside civil, electrical, ATC/ATM, and signage work. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, review vendor submissions, and provide technical guidance for equipment procurement. During construction, you will support installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning, guaranteeing reliability, redundancy, and safety of the lighting systems. • Lead planning, design, and specification of runway, taxiway, apron, approach, stop‑bar, guidance, and obstruction lighting systems. • Develop AGL layout plans, circuiting, Constant Current Regulator sizing, ducting, and pit layouts. • Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA, and relevant airport authority standards. • Coordinate with civil, electrical, ATC/ATM, and signage teams for seamless integration of AGL systems. • Review vendor submittals, interface drawings, and photometric performance data. • Provide technical input for procurement of fixtures, CCRs, and control systems. • Supervise installation, testing, photometric calibration, and commissioning of AGL systems. • Produce documentation and handover materials to guarantee system reliability and safety.

What You Bring
We are looking for an Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Expert with eight to ten years of aviation‑sector experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in planning, designing, and implementing AGL systems while adhering to ICAO Annex 14, FAA, and local airport regulations. This role offers the opportunity to influence critical airport lighting projects worldwide. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication Engineering. A minimum of eight years of focused experience on AGL systems within the aviation industry is required, along with familiarity with airport operations and airside infrastructure. Strong analytical abilities and a proactive approach to solving technical challenges are essential. Deep knowledge of ICAO Annex 14, FAA standards, and airport authority guidelines is mandatory, as is proficiency with AGL design tools, CAD, and simulation software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
